The Bubble MCP Connector lets Claude talk directly to any Bubble.io app — query records, create and update data, trigger backend workflows, and analyse your schema, all in plain English. No code required.

The connector is packaged as a .mcpb Claude Desktop Extension — the new local extension format for Claude Desktop. There is no Node.js to install, no JSON config files to edit, and no terminal commands to run. You install it directly from Claude Desktop’s Extensions panel, enter your Bubble app URL and API token when prompted, and it is ready to use. Your credentials are stored in your operating system keychain (macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager) and never sent to any external server.

The connector automatically reads your app’s full schema before every operation — data types, field names, field types, and linked record relationships — so Claude always knows the exact structure of your app without you having to describe it.

• explain_record — fetches a record and all its linked records one level deep and returns a plain English summary instead of raw JSON

Built for agencies — multiple Bubble apps in one session

Configure multiple Bubble apps in the connector and work across all of them in a single Claude conversation. Query a client’s CRM app, create records in their project management app, and analyse the schema of a third — without reinstalling or reconfiguring anything, and without switching tools.

Privacy first

The connector runs entirely on your local machine. Your Bubble API token is stored in your OS keychain and never sent to any external server — not ours, not anyone else’s. This is a deliberate architectural decision. Unlike hosted MCP connectors, your credentials stay under your control at all times.

What you need

To connect, you will need your Bubble app URL (e.g. https://myapp.bubbleapps.io) and your Bubble API token. You can find your API token in your Bubble app under Settings → API → Private key. You will also need to enable the Data API for each data type you want to query under Settings → API → Enable Data API. Full instructions are in the Bubble documentation.
